When you are sorted into your desired house in Hogwarts Legacy, one of four Common Rooms becomes your home in the castle for the remainder of the game, but only if you can find it. When beginning to experience the vast size of Hogwarts, you may struggle to find your Common Room on your own. The number of secret locations and collectibles around Hogwarts tends to get you lost around the six main wings, but specific landmarks make it far easier to find these unique house spaces.

An important fact you should remember is that you cannot enter the Common Room of another house. Only by resetting your character's house will you be able to access the other dormitory spaces, although their entrances may still be found. Considering the number of hidden field guide pages in Hogwarts Legacy, you could benefit from knowing where every house's Common Room location/

Method To Find Every Common Room

Hogwarts Legacy The Grand Staircase Location with Multiple Living Paintings and Moving Architecture

One easy method to find your Common Room is by going to the Grand Staircase, a central section of Hogwarts. Past the House Point Hourglass in the Reception Hall, the Grand Staircase leads to five separate floors for you to explore, with the Common Rooms toward the bottom four floors.

The top floor hosts the Trophy Room, which unfortunately stays locked until you learn the Alohomora spell in Hogwarts Legacy. The mascot of each house remains a good indicator of which floor has which Common Room when you are going up and down the stairs.

Gryffindor Common Room Location

Hogwarts Legacy The Fat Lady Painting and Secret Entrance to Gryffindor House

The Gryffindor Common Room can be found on the third floor from the Grand Staircase, in the Faculty Tower section of Hogwarts. The first landmark you will see is a statue of a One-Eyed Witch, which later on becomes a secret passageway to the shops in the town of Hogsmeade. While a Hidden Field guide may be found using the Revelio spell here, the Common Room resides a bit further down this hallway. You will have to climb a set of winding stairs at the end of the Faculty Tower to reach it.

Near the top of these stairs on the map of Hogwarts Legacy, a portrait of the Fat Lady sits at the end, representing the secret entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room. A familiar feature from the movies, the Fat Lady will ask Gryffindor students for a password the first time you visit and scolds students from other houses for not having the right code.

Another field guide page can be found here, provided you cast Revelio first.

Ravenclaw Common Room Location

On the fourth floor of the Grand Staircase, the Common Room of house Ravenclaw sits right below the Trophy Room. If you have finished the "Gobs and Gobstones" quest, you will recognize a blue hallway past a certain doorway that leads toward the Common Room. A green room with an Arithmancy door puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy lies at the end of this hall, with another spiral staircase leading up toward the space for Ravenclaw students.

The top of these stairs shows a door with an eagle, whose wings will fold into themselves to allow Ravenclaw members to enter the Common Space. This entrance area has paneled wood across the stairs and roof.

Two field guide pages exist within this section through Revelio, one on the Ravenclaw bust halfway up the stairs, and another right in front of the avian doorknocker to the Common Room.

Hufflepuff Common Room Location

The kitchens of Hogwarts host the way to the Hufflepuff Common Room and are easily accessed on the second floor of the Grand Staircase in Hogwarts Legacy. Technically, you start on this floor anyway when you reach the Grand Staircase through the Reception Hall. You are able to explore the area right away, and a stone archway near the main stairs depicts a set of plants hanging from the ceiling, serving as a clue as you descend the nearby stairs heading down.

Although there are other secret areas down these stairs, you need to travel to the cellar at the bottom. A portrait leading into the hidden Hogwarts Kitchens contains several hidden field guide pages, but you do not need to go there to reach Hufflepuff's Common Room. Instead, by taking a right at the end of the cellar's hallway, you can see two giant barrels against the left-most wall, with the one further away marking the secret entrance to the social space of this underrated house.

Slytherin Common Room Location

The stereotyped Slytherin house in Hogwarts Legacy has its Common Room in Hogwarts' dungeons, which you can reach by traveling to the bottom floor of the Grand Staircase. The eerie locale reveals itself past a large door at the end of the Grand Staircase, where another set of stairs leads more into the depths of the castle. At the base of their descent, you may spot a snake inscribed into the floor within a darker room, curled up in front of a certain unassuming wall.

Those who are part of Slytherin house who approach this serpent will see it slither from the floor across a nearby wall, opening up the Common Room area. For those exploring Hogwarts without an affiliation with Slytherin, this snake will simply not move, leaving the wall as any other in the castle's foundation.

Thankfully, you still have reason to visit this area, as more hidden field guide pages of Hogwarts Legacy are found in sections such as the Slytherin Sink and Kelpie Statue. Those who figure out where to find every Common Room in Hogwarts Legacy could be tempted to make new characters for each house to discover the layout inside each location.
