Call of Duty: Warzone has announced a crossover with the popular superhero show The Boys. The Boys is known for its violent and satirical take on the superhero genre, with characters such as Homelander acting as dark reflections of characters like Superman, showing what such a powerful being would be like without the morals traditionally tied to superheroes.

The Call of Duty Twitter account shared the news of Homelander and other characters from The Boys' primary superhero team, The Seven, such as Black Noir and Starlight arriving as part of Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded Operator Bundles. Starlight will be available July 12, Homelander on July 16, and Black Noir on July 20.

These new characters will assist players as they attempt to save Al Mazrah and the newer Vondel map. They will also bring with them new weapons such as the MX Guardian full-auto shotgun, which should allow players to get "up close and personal" with their opponents.

How Much Will Each Of The Boys' Characters Cost In COD: Warzone?

The Boys operator bundles will cost players an amount of 2,400 COD Points each, costing 7,200 for players to acquire all three characters. Each hero comes with their own set of abilities and weapon blueprints, with Starlight's arsenal being built more for short-to-midrange combat, Black Noir's blades delivering stealth attacks, and Homelander's devastating "Laser Everyone" finishing move unleashing destruction across the battlefield.

Anyone Can Become Superpowered During Warzone's Crossover With The Boys

As well as playing as some of the recognizable characters from the show, any player can be granted temporary access to superpowers thanks to Vought International's Temp V serum in all Warzone playlists except Ranked Play. Upon consuming Temp V, the serum grants one of four random superpowers in players' Field Upgrade slot: Charge Jump, Electric Shockwave, Laser Vision, and Teleport. Temp V doesn't act like a usual Field Upgrade, however, as players are free to activate this power whenever they wish. It's worth noting that all traditional Field Upgrades appear to dispel Temp V’s effects, and if players are eliminated before activating the power, the Temp V is lost like a normal Field Upgrade.

The long-running Call of Duty Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded update looks set to bring Battle Royale to Vondel and conclude its Atomgrad RAID series. Whereas there seems to be plenty for fans to look forward to with the game's new updates, its inclusion of The Boys' characters and powers should make for some even more explosive and chaotic combat and should tide fans of the acclaimed superhero show over until its next season - which is currently postponed indefinitely due to the writers' strike - eventually arrives.
