Summary

  • Genshin Impact 4.0 will introduce two new Artifact sets: Golden Troupe and Marechaussee Hunter.
  • The exact effects of the new Artifact sets have yet to be officially confirmed.
  • Leaks indicate that Golden Troupe focuses on boosting Elemental Skill DMG, while Marechaussee Hunter is suitable for DPS characters experiencing HP loss.

There will be new Artifacts in Genshin Impact 4.0, as announced by the developer HoYoverse. The new update for the open-world action RPG, scheduled to arrive in mid-August, will add the fifth major region of Teyvat, known as Fontaine. The introduction of the Nation of Justice led by the Hydro Archon will also prompt the addition of a roster of new characters, both playable and NPCs. Along with them, players can expect new gameplay mechanics as well.

Version 4.0 will see the introduction of underwater exploration that is exclusive to Fontaine, as well as an opposing energy system called Arkhe, which works with energy types known as Pneuma and Ousia in Genshin Impact. To cater to all the new elements and, especially the new characters, HoYoverse is adding two new Artifact sets in Genshin Impact 4.0. Luckily, they will attend to both new and old characters alike, making them farmable even if players do not pull for Lyney, Lynette, or Freminet.

As was announced during the Version 4.0 livestream, which was broadcast on the official Genshin Impact channel on Twitch, the game will introduce two new Artifact sets in Genshin Impact 4.0. The first set is called Golden Troupe and is stylized with white and golden adornments that boast blue water-like crystals. The second Artifact set revealed by the developer was Marechaussee Hunter, which contains many elements that resemble gears and low-end metals, both of which will be abundant throughout the Fontaine region. They are farmable in the new Domain of Blessing: Denouement of Sin.

The developer did not officially reveal the set bonus effects for the Artifacts. Nevertheless, previous Genshin Impact 4.0 Artifact update leaks can give players a better understanding of how they will work. According to leaked information registered by the database Honey Hunter World, the Golden Troupe set will focus on boosting Elemental Skill DMG. The page regarding Marechaussee Hunter on Honey Hunter World points to a set made for DPS characters that experience HP loss. The table below lists the Artifacts in Genshin Impact 4.0 and their alleged effects:

New Genshin Impact 4.0 Artifact Sets

Golden Troupe

  • 2-piece set bonus effect: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.
  • 4-piece set bonus effect: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%. When the equipping character is not on the field, the Elemental Skill DMG will be increased by an additional 20%. This effect will be cleared two seconds after entering the field.

The exact effects that each new Genshin Impact 4.0 Artifact set will grant has yet to be officially confirmed by HoYoverse. Nevertheless, most of the Fontaine-related leaks in Genshin Impact 4.0 so far have been proven to be correct, so the information shared about Golden Troupe and Marechaussee Hunter may not be too far off. Players may have to wait for Genshin Impact 4.0’s release on August 16 to be completely sure, however.
