Summary

  • The Time Laser twist has created chaos in the Big Brother 25 house.
  • The Scramble-verse competition has changed the game by making nominations come before the HOH competition.
  • Several houseguests have shown strong physical and mental capabilities in the first four competitions.

Big Brother 25 is off to a fantastic start, as the Time Laser twist has wreaked havoc on the house, adding a surprise 17th houseguest in the form of a Survivor icon, and already nominating four people for eviction, without crowning a Head of Household (HOH). Before the contestants entered the house for an unprecedented 100 days, host Julie Chen Moonves showed them a video of Danielle Reyes, Britney Haynes, and Frankie Grande accidentally unleashing the Time Laser twist on the game. It cracked open the Big Brother multiverse, and four universes took over the Big Brother 25 game: the BB Comic-verse, the Humili-verse, the Scary-verse, and the Scramble-verse.

The Big Brother houseguests moved into the house in groups of four, each choosing a spot in one of the four multiverse competitions. For the first time ever, the Scramble-verse twisted the game, and nominations now came before the HOH competition. Whoever lost the four competitions would be nominated for eviction, and could be the first houseguest to leave the Big Brother house. The Scramble-verse then added a 17th houseguest to the game, Survivor legend, Cirie Fields. After a thrilling premiere night, here's who has the best chance of winning Big Brother 25.

1 Jag Bains

So far, Big Brother 25 houseguest Jag Bains, a 25-year-old truck company owner from Omak, WA, seems to have the best chance of winning the $750,000 prize. He wants to make his fellow contestants believe that he's a loud, outgoing, air-headed guy, but in college he pursued three majors. Jag is not only personable, but very smart, calling himself "a secret genius." He is the first Sikh houseguest to play the game, and he feels that it's important for him to represent his community.

In the BB Comics game, the houseguests faced Super Villain, Dr. Goo, and had to connect wires from a table to a goo bomb, fitting them correctly. If it exploded, it was correct. Jag solved his BB Comics wire puzzle almost immediately. He worked calmly and precisely, and had an impressive first place finish. Jag proved his intelligence and focus, which are both ideal qualities for a Big Brother houseguest.

2 America Lopez

America Lopez, a 27-year-old Medical Receptionist, is originally from Edinburg, TX, but currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Brown University in 2019 with a degree in biology. America thinks that, at first glance, people will underestimate her and just think that she's "a pretty face," but she's a huge Big Brother superfan. She's been watching the show since she was ten years old. America said that being a first-generation American, she had to learn at a very young age to be resilient. She said Big Brother is "a cutthroat game," in which houseguests have to be ruthless, and that's how she's going to win.

During the Scramble-verse competition, the houseguests had to disassemble a completed puzzle and fit the pieces perfectly in the box they came in. America placed first, proving that she is a strong physical and mental competitor. She was calm and logical, and solved the puzzle far ahead of her fellow competitors. As a superfan, America will know what to expect from competitions, so she has a great chance of winning.

Matt is a professional swimmer, training for the 2024 Olympics. His idol is Ryan Lochte, and in 2019, he was able to beat him in a 100-meter match-up. Matt is a ten-time Deaflympic gold medalist, and a five-time deaf world record holder. It took him 14 years of speech therapy to learn how to talk. He wants to be a role model for the deaf community. Matt said that being deaf could be a huge advantage on the show because he learned how to lip-read.

For the Humili-verse competition, the houseguests had to kick themselves in the butt 100 times with a giant boot by moving it with a lever. Matt took the Humili-verse competition by storm, showing his physical prowess. Although he and Hisam Goueli were close at the beginning of the game, Matt surpassed him at the halfway mark. He didn't lose steam at all, and powered through to win the competition. Matt not only had to be physically strong to win this game, but he also had to come up with a good strategy for moving the lever. He will definitely be a huge physical and mental threat in the game.

4 Reilly Smedley

Reilly Smedley is a 24-year-old bartender, originally from Portland, ME, who currently resides in Nashville, TN. She's funny and outgoing, so she will probably have a great social game. Reilly promised that she's ready to wreak havoc when she has to and play whatever game she has to play to beat out the rest of the houseguests and get to the end.

For the Big Brother Scary-verse competition, the competitors had to lay on the floor, and hold on to handles to avoid being pulled away into the "Nether Region" by a giant monster hand. The loser would be gone for an undisclosed amount of time. During the Scary-verse competition, Reilly was cool, calm, and collected, focusing all of her attention on not being pulled into the Nether Region. She could prove to be an endurance competition beast with her physical strength and mental determination.

5 Red Utley

During the Scary-verse competition, Red focused completely on not being pulled into the Nether Region. He already showed that he's incredible at endurance competitions, with laser focus and amazing physical and mental strength.

However, Cirie won The Traitors season 1 and an episode of Snake in the Grass. Although Cirie could easily win Big Brother based on her skill sets alone, unfortunately, she will most likely become the houseguests' target because of her wondrous reality television past. However, her son Jared Fields could be her secret weapon. It'll be interesting to see if they disclose their relationship to anyone, or if the other houseguests figure it out on their own.

Bowie Jane also played tennis at a really high level. She was seventh in Australia in the 18 and unders, and then went on the professional circuit, so she's super-competitive, which she says will come in handy in the Big Brother house. Bowie Jane plans to keep her age a secret, and say that she's 34. She solved the Scramble-verse puzzle shortly after America, coming in second. Bowie Jane proved herself to be strong at both mental and physical games.

Hisam planned to tell his fellow houseguests that he's a certified Nursing Assistant who performs burlesque and cabaret at night. He thought if he told people he was a doctor, he'd be the first one to go.

In his package, Hisam said it's about time that someone who's older and looks like a strong competitor is in the Big Brother house. Although he was neck-and-neck with Matt during the Humili-verse competition, Matt pulled ahead of him at the halfway mark. He called himself her protege. Unfortunately, Jared finished last in the Scramble-verse puzzle competition, and became the first houseguest to be nominated for eviction.

Perhaps it was premiere night nerves, but Jared couldn't complete his puzzle on time. It'll be interesting to see if having Cirie in the house helps or hurts him. Although Jared is nominated, Cirie could work to keep him safe. However, he could become a bigger target if the Big Brother houseguests realize they're related.
