A 90 Day: The Last Resort preview revealed several secrets and relationship updates about the five couples, including the shocking move one cast member makes by pulling out divorce papers for her husband. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise is releasing its first new spin-off in two years with this new couples' therapy-based show. Set in a resort in the Florida Keys where the cast was spotted filming back in January 2023, 90 Day: The Last Resort season 1 will be the deciding factor to whether or not its five couples stay together as they attempt to salvage their troubled relationships one last time with the help of professionals.

A 90 Day: The Last Resort teaser (via People) is full of surprises. Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi are joining the cast after having been in a long-distance marriage for over three years. Michael has yet to arrive in the U.S. and is a part of the show virtually trying to fight his relationship demons with Angela. The video shows Angela dressed in a tiny, revealing swimsuit, twerking for Michael, who says, "Oh, no no no no no," for her choice of outfit. "Sexy meemaw," Angela tells the cameras that she's ready to compromise but emotionally tells Michael, "I do love you, Michael, with all my heart, but these are divorce papers."

90 Day Fiancé's Big Ed & Jovi Have Tense Argument

90 Day: The Last Resort's cast including Big Ed and Angela Deem in front of a tropical background

It appears after going through weeks of explosive group therapies, intense couples’ sessions, past life regressions, and unique on-and-off-resort activities, the couples have to stand at the aisle dressed in bridal attire and renew their vows or end their relationship for good. Angela could be choosing to do the latter, but knowing how many times she and Michael have gotten back together, it's a bit impossible to believe she will end up divorced this time either. Trouble is also brewing between the couples themselves. As if they weren't already fighting with their significant others, they are getting into brawls with other cast members.

Angela, Yara Zaya, Jovi Dufren, Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods are in a speedboat as Yara tells Jovi that he shouldn't have texted a mystery woman. Jovi admits he wanted to "have fun," and Big Ed quips, "He's more excited about seeing this girl than you." Big Ed gets a warning from Jovi, who now wants to punch him in the face. "Bring it on," he says as Jovi hurls towards him and Angela tries to stop the New Orleans native. Kalani Faagata breaks down in the middle of a group therapy session on the beach. "I begged you, I ****** begged you to not do that ****," Kalani weeps while talking to Asuelu. This could be the moment that Kalani addresses the alleged rumor that Asuelu cheated on her with a woman in Samoa.

Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown may have split in November 2022, but they are back for 90 Day: The Last Resort to share "he has no respect for me as a mother and as a business owner." Big Ed and Liz are reportedly getting married later this month, so perhaps they will have a happy ending on this show. Petey Silveira, Dr. Janie Lacy and Dr. Jason Prendergast are the therapists that will be helping the couples navigate trust, sex, jealousy, anger, and intimacy issues. The plot twists that are being promised by 90 Day Fiancé in this spin-off are surely nothing the franchise has ever seen before.

90 Day: The Last Resort premieres August 14 at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
