Big Brother 25 is off to a strong start as alliances have begun to form and paranoia has set in for many of the houseguests. With the first Head Of Household of the summer purposefully not crowned on premiere night, the house was a bit uneasy as the first episode of the season began. After moving in and getting directly into competition, the houseguests were met with another surprise twist as Survivor legend Cirie Fields moved in to the house and joined in on the game. What the houseguests didn't know is that Cirie's son, Jared Fields, is a fellow competitor this season.

As bonds began to form between the houseguests, some were able to sniff out the secret quickly. Jared began to work overtime in order to keep his relationship to his mother a secret, but his tactics were aggressive. As the first Head Of Household competition of the summer got underway, the BB 25 houseguests were uncertain what the power would mean considering the first competition of the summer, played on premiere night, had already chosen four nominees. Still looking for any power they could get, the houseguests competed. An unlikely winner was crowned, then tasked with a difficult decision.

The Houseguests Got To Know Survivor Legend Cirie

As the houseguests made their way into the kitchen of the house after the competition, they were met with the surprise of a seventeenth houseguest waiting for them. Cirie, who many knew from Survivor, was revealed to the house and it was quickly revealed to the audience that she was playing the game with her son, Jared. While it was meant to be a secret to everyone, one houseguest threatened to reveal that Cirie was Jared's mother quickly. Izzy Gleicher was excited when she saw Cirie, and as a big fan, knew Jared from her Instagram posts.

Izzy quickly asked Jared if that was his mother, and he pulled her aside, doing his best to keep the secret under wraps. It was revealed that Jared was aware his mother would be in the house, and their plan had been to keep it all a secret. Izzy promised Jared she would keep his relationship to Cirie quiet. When they revealed to Cirie that Izzy was aware of the relationship, she seemed skeptical but ultimately was okay with it, as long as Izzy vowed to keep their relationship to herself in the Big Brother 25 house.

Cory Returned To The House After His Competition Loss

As the houseguests gathered to get to know each other in the living room, BB 25 nominee Cory Wurtenberger returned from the "Nether Regions" that he was dragged off to after losing the fourth competition of the night. Cory, who's the youngest houseguest of Big Brother 25, came back to the houseguests with a message from the "scary-verse", explaining that he'd been dragged to the Nether Reigons and had come back quickly. Cory explained that next week, another houseguest may not be so lucky as to come back so quickly.

Solitary confinement has been a punishment on of Big Brother in the past, and usually is a disadvantage to the players that have to deal with it. In past seasons of Big Brother, the contestants who are placed into solitary confinement typically use it to revamp their game, like Big Brother legend Dan Gheesling during season 14. The issue with solitary, however, is that it takes contestants out of the social game for a time, which can be bad for their game as a whole. With the possible threat of BB isolation in play, the scary-verse is already interesting.

The Houseguests Began To Form Alliances

A​​​​​​s the houseguests began to chat with one another, alliances were quick to form in the Big Brother 25 house. Izzy, Cirie, and Jared were immediately in a unique situation as they were presumed to be working together with Izzy aware of their secret. BB 25 nominee Kirsten Elwin was quick to reach out to Cirie and her fellow nominee, Felicia Cannon, to try and form strong alliances early. She also met with Jared, Luke Valentine, Reilly Smedley, and Matt Klotz and formed a pseudo-alliance, which none of them were sure was solid.

While Kirsten was simply playing the game, the houseguests were immediately intimidated by Kirsten trying to make relationships in the house. One of the largest parts of playing Big Brother is having a social game, which makes it a bit confusing to see the houseguests so quickly thrown off my Kirsten simply getting to know other houseguests and seeing if anyone would be willing to work with her. Jared, in particular, felt threatened by Kirsten trying to form alliances and get herself taken off the nomination block while he was still nominated. Unfortunately, Kirsten was quickly made a target due to her socialization.

Reilly Smedley Became The First HOH Of The Summer

The first Head Of Household competition of the summer was placed into the BB comics-verse. Contestants had to race through a course of balance beams and swinging obstacles. The houseguest with the quickest time would be named the HOH, but instead of choosing two nominees to put up for eviction, the HOH would have a somewhat trickier job the first week. The Head Of Household would be choosing two of the four nominees down from the block, leaving the final two nominations in place.

Some of the houseguests weren't interested in winning the first HOH. Traditionally, many throw the first Head Of Household competition as there's not really a benefit to having so much power in the first week of the game. The first HOH has to make a difficult choice without much background information, but some still choose to compete for it in order to prove themselves in the game right away. The houseguests attempted the course and Reilly explained in a confessional that she wanted to prove she was a threat in the game. After finishing the course in 16 seconds, Reilly became Big Brother 25's first HOH.

Reilly Pulled Two Nominees Off The Block

After Reilly became the summer's first Head Of Household, it was her responsibility to choose who to remove from the nomination block. Though many came to Reilly to talk about her options, it was quickly made clear that she had one person on her mind. Reilly had heard from several other houseguests that Kirsten was trying to make alliances with others in the house. Though Reilly herself had already made an alliance with Kirsten, she felt threatened by the gameplay and decided she would be gunning to get Kirsten out of the house the first week.

Jared, who was quickly scrambling to get in Reilly's ear throughout the first few days in order to build connections, assured Kirsten that if he was to be removed from the block, he could get Cirie and Felicia on her side to get whoever she wanted out. Cirie and Felicia both threw out Kirsten's name, as well, and it felt certain that Reilly's decision was made. During the nomination ceremony, Reilly chose to save Jared and Cory, leaving Kirsten and Felicia on the block. With the veto still up for grabs, it's still possible that the Big Brother 25 could see a major shift in the game.​​​
