A surprising face is set to make their return in Arcane season 2, as Silco voice actor Jason Spisak confirms that he has recorded lines for the new episode despite his character's season 1 end. The leader of the chem barons of Zaun, Silco was the adoptive father of Jinx (Ella Purnell) who had ambitions of a Zaun free from the rule of Piltover's council. Despite his power and status, Silco was forced to choose between his ambitions for Zaun and his daughter, and would subsequently be killed by Jinx in a heated standoff.

While Silco seemingly perished on-screen in episode 9, "The Monster You Created", Spisak revealed to the Ikuzo Unscripted YouTube channel that he has recorded new lines for the upcoming episodes. While updates for the long-delayed Arcane season 2 have been few, the voice actor revealed that he had been given permission by Riot Games to reveal that he would be providing new dialogue for season 2. Check out Spisak's full comments below:

Damn you [Alex and Christian] for the way season 1 ended! [Laughs] Well, I’ve recorded lines for Season 2. They let me say it. Riot Games let me tell people. They said, “You can officially tell people that you have recorded lines for Season 2.” So, I’m allowed to say that I have.

Just How Silco Can Return In Arcane Season 2?

Arcane Episode 9 The Monster You Created Jinx Mourns Silco

Silco was a major player in the events of Arcane season 1, and almost came close to achieving everything he wanted when Jayce offered a peace treaty to avoid a violent intra-city war between Zaun and Piltover, though that would require him handing Jinx over to Piltover. While Silco was reluctant to hand her over, she would overhear his conflicted thoughts and subsequently abduct him, seating him at the table during her face-to-face with Vi (Hailee Steinfeld). When the face-off spiraled out of control, Jinx would accidentally fire on Silco, but he would use his dying breath to reassure her that he would have never sacrificed her for his dream.

With Silco seemingly receiving a definitive end in Arcane season 1, there may be very few ways for the character to return that don't undermine the story. One such method for Silco to reappear could be through Jinx's hallucinations, joining her deceased childhood friends Mylo and Claggor. Alternatively, with Piltover and Zaun set to be forever changed by Jinx's final shot, season 2 could take a step further back in time to explore how the two cities came to the troubling point audiences were introduced to through flashbacks, giving more context to the wider story, Silco's past, and what led to the deaths of Jinx and Vi's parents.

With Arcane being highly celebrated by critics and audiences alike, Spisak's surprising update will be welcomed by many. While the character undoubtedly left an impact on audiences through his battles between his aspirations and those he cares for, his final moments ultimately set Jinx on a path that would see her change the show's world. As such, many may be keen to see just how Silco can continue to impact Arcane from beyond the grave.
