LEGO has recently released a new kind of Star Wars set with its wave of diorama models, though there have yet to be any from the prequel trilogy. Geared toward older LEGO collectors, the Star Wars dioramas depict iconic scenes from the galaxy far, far away often with quotes from the movies as well. Going beyond ships and vehicles, it does seem as though the LEGO Group is only getting started with their Star Wars dioramas, as they've only done models from the original trilogy thus far.

At the moment, there are a handful of LEGO Star Wars diorama sets available for purchase right now such as Emperor's Throne Room Diorama (75352) from Return of the Jedi or the unique Death Star Trench Run Diorama (75329) from A New Hope. However, rumors for next year's Star Wars sets have hinted that LEGO will begin releasing dioramas based on the prequel trilogy, potentially beginning with a podrace diorama from The Phantom Menace. Keeping that in mind, here are 10 prequel trilogy diorama sets we'd like to see in the future.

10 Qui-Gon And Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Trade Federation

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan use super speed in The Phantom Menace

Serving as one of the prequel trilogy's very first scenes, a LEGO diorama of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi aboard the Trade Federation's command ship would be a very iconic addition. While a minifigure of Obi-Wan Kenobi could ward off battle droids before warning his master of the shielded destroyer droids, Qui-Gon Jinn could work to cut through the blast doors with his lightsaber. Perhaps there could even be light brick to depict the Jedi Master melting the door. Great quotes for display from The Phantom Menace could be "They are still getting through!" or perhaps even "Where are those Droidekas?"

9 Duel Of The Fates (Maul vs Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon)

Qui-Gon and Darth Maul LEGO Duel Fates

Known as the Duel of the Fates, the final duel in The Phantom Menace with Darth Maul taking on both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan simultaneously is a must-have LEGO diorama. Although the momentous Star Wars duel has been depicted in LEGO before, a diorama version has the opportunity to truly do the scene justice. Catwalks could be built above the typical black base used or LEGO's Star Wars dioramas, and a giant purple energy beam could be featured as well.

Additionally, perhaps the proposed diorama could be modeled after the very beginning or end of the duel. Darth Maul emerging from the opening hanger doors would be quite epic. Conversely, Maul and Qui-Gon dueling over the chasm with Obi-Wan initially trapped behind an energy barrier would be significant as well. Clearly, there are plenty of exciting options.

8 Jedi Council Room

Featured multiple times throughout Star Wars' prequel trilogy, the Jedi Council Chamber would be a very cool set. A circular room with several chairs for the highest-ranking and most respected members of the Jedi Council, it's not hard to imagine LEGO releasing half the room to fit within the typical rectangular base. The set could also come with a handful of Jedi Master minifigures such as Yoda and Mace Windu, though perhaps a couple of other Jedi who've yet to receive the LEGO treatment such as Yaddle or Yarael Poof.

7 Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Jango Fett on Kamino

Jango Fett battles Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Attack of the Clones

With LEGO having released a new iteration of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter (75333) from Attack of the Clones, it would be very exciting to see a LEGO diorama of Kenobi's battle with the bounty hunter Jango Fett. Taking place on the stormy ocean world of Kamino, minifigures of Obi-Wan and Jango could be featured in battle on the circular platform, perhaps even elevated to depict the waters below. Likewise, it would be great if the diorama also featured Jango's Firespray in the same size as the recent Boba Fett's Starship (75312), though that would likely make the diorama much bigger overall.

6 Geonosis Arena From Attack of the Clones

Geonosis Arena in LEGO Star Wars

A set that has long been awaited by LEGO Star Wars fans, the Geonosis Arena from Attack of the Clones is practically begging to get the brick-built treatment, yet it inexplicably never has. Featuring Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan, and Padmé Amidala chained to pillars, the trio was forced to contend with three different alien beasts in a gladiator-style spectator event for the Genosians and Separatists led by Count Dooku. However, they were soon rescued by the Jedi Order along with the Republic's brand-new clone army.

The dramatic arrival of Yoda and the clones would likely be too much for one set. However, a diorama primarily focused on the beasts would be very exciting. That said, a few Jedi minifigures featured in the stands would make for a pretty cool diorama as well. Also, the perfect quote for the LEGO set would have to be from Jedi Master Mace Windu: "This party's over."

5 Count Dooku vs Yoda On Geonosis

Count Dooku duels his former master Yoda on Geonosis

The final duel from Attack of the Clones, Jedi Master Yoda facing his corrupted former apprentice Count Dooku would be a very iconic LEGO diorama. Coming to the aid of Anakin and Obi-Wan who were both bested by the Separatist leader and new apprentice of Darth Sidious, Yoda and Dooku's lightsabers clashed after their use of the Force came to a stalemate. As such, the diorama would have to feature Dooku's major quote during the battle before they drew their blades: "It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force... but by our skills with a lightsaber."

4 Kenobi vs General Grievous On Utapau

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga General Grievous

Having been popularized and heavily memed thanks to the wonder of the Internet and a newfound love for the Star Wars prequels in recent years, Obi-Wan dropping in on General Grievous with his beloved "Hello There!" feels like a necessary LEGO diorama that will need to be built at some point. As seen in Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan's final battle with Grievous was the culmination of their rivalry throughout the Clone Wars. As such, their duel more than deserves to be made into a diorama, if only for the sake of what's become one of the most popular Star Wars quotes just behind Darth Vader telling Luke Skywalker he's his father.

3 Anakin Skywalker With 501st (Order 66)

Anakin Skywalker and the 501st in Revenge of the Sith.

While the events of Order 66 itself would likely be too grim and morbid for the LEGO Group to recreate as a diorama, a corrupted Anakin Skywalker leading the 501st Legion up the steps of the Jedi Temple just beforehand would be quite compelling. Offering a hooded Anakin minifigure who'd just been corrupted as Darth Vader, this scene from Revenge of the Sith is one of the most significant in the entire movie and the Skywalker saga at large. As a result, a diorama of the scene is well-warranted and would also look intensely cool.

2 Senate Duel (Sidious vs Yoda)

Yoda vs Palpatine LEGO Senate Skywalker Saga

Yoda's Revenge of the Sith duel with Palpatine in the Republic Senate Chamber feels like an inevitability for LEGO. The powerful conflict has yet to become any kind of set, and the new diorama format feels like the perfect way to finally do so. Minifigures of Palpatine and Yoda could be dueling on the center platform with forced-perspective techniques via smaller bricks being used to make the repulsor pods seem further away, surrounding the powerful Sith Lord and Jedi Grandmaster. Again, this would likely be a diorama showing half the room which feels like the most likely method for LEGO Star Wars dioramas.

1 Duel on Mustafar (Anakin vs Obi-Wan)

Anakin vs Obi-Wan Mustafar Duel LEGO Skywalker Saga

Obi-Wan Kenobi's duel with his corrupted apprentice Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar is another moment from the Star Wars prequels that will almost certainly become a diorama in the near future. Dueling on the fiery lava world of Mustafar, Kenobi had no choice but to duel Anakin who'd fallen so far. There are several locations during the duel that would be prime moments for LEGO to depict with a diorama (and quotes too). The most likely would be either the hover platform with both Kenobi and Skywalker over the lava river or Obi-Wan having the high ground on the bank with Anakin about to jump to his own defeat.
