Pokémon Horizons introduced a new Gym Leader and helped Liko regain her memories in the previous episode, and is now putting the focus squarely on getting her pendant back. Key to that plan seems to be Dot, a shut-in and member of the airship crew who came out to help find Liko when she went missing.

When Do Pokémon Horizons Episodes Release?

Pokemon: Dot gets out of her Nidothing costume.

At present, new episodes of Pokémon Horizons air in Japan only. Episodes are currently broadcast on the network TV Tokyo at 6:55 PM JST each Friday, a time which translates to 5:55 AM on the East Coast and 2:55 AM on the West Coast of the US. Foreign channels can sometimes be picked up internationally via satellite, which represents the only option at present to legally watch the series outside of Japan. Episodes are aired in Japanese without subtitles, which will also pose a challenge to fans hoping to watch early. At present, a Pokémon Horizons English dub has been confirmed, but will not be debuting until later in 2023.

What Happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode 15?

Pokemon Horizons: Levincia's gym leader Iono in the anime.

Pokémon Horizons episode 15 saw Liko left alone in Velincia with her memory wiped by the villainous Spinel. Unable to remember how she got to Paldea (and thus most of the events of the series), Liko wandered aimlessly as the airship crew began to search for her. Unfortunately, Spinel managed to feed the team bad information, causing them to waste precious time searching the wrong city. Dot stepped up by getting in touch with Velincia's Gym Leader and fellow streamer, Iono, who organized a game to help find Liko. The gambit was a success, and Dot and Roy found Liko shortly thereafter, with her memory finally returning to her.

Pokémon Horizons Episode 16 Seeks to Return Liko's Pendant

Pokemon: Dot meets Liko and Roy face-to-face for the first time.

With Liko now safely back with the crew of the airship, the new goal is to retrieve her pendant from Spinel. The episode title is "With Quaxly, I Can Do It!", suggesting that Dot and Quaxly will be taking center stage in the conflict. In the episode preview, Dot is shown commanding Quaxly in battle, making this her first battle in the series to date. Spinel is looking to be no pushover, though, equipped with not only Beheeyem and Magneton, but also seemingly a Bisharp. Fortunately, Liko, Dot, and Roy have Friede's help to rely on as well, giving them the power they'll need to defeat Spinel.

While Spinel has proven to be a particularly tricky new villain, his underhanded methods seem to imply that he might not be so much of a threat in a direct confrontation. If they can reclaim Liko's pendant, then the situation will be resolved enough that the airship can get back on track for the Galar region, which was teased as their next destination a few episodes ago. The team's success next episode will have a big impact on the story moving forward, and Pokémon Horizons' future is in the process of being shaped even now.
