When Do Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War Episodes Release?

Bleach: Komamura as a Human (more or less)

Episode 18 of Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War will debut at 10:30 AM Eastern Time on Saturday, August 5. At present, episodes are being released in subtitled form only, via streaming platform Hulu in the US. The English dub of The Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 will also be starting on August 5, however, it will resume where it left off on episode 14, placing the dub about 4 weeks behind the sub-release. Fans needn't worry about missing it, however, as the episodes will remain available to stream from that point forward on the service.

What Happened in Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 17?

Bleach: Komamura's Bankai in its ultimate state.

The bulk of episode 17, "Heart of Wolf," focused on the battle between Bambietta and Sajin Komamura, who had undergone a dangerous "jinka" transformation in order to gain enough power to defeat Yhwach. Komamura never made it to Yhwach, however, as he was transformed into a full wolf as his power began to fade. Uryu was also shown, picking up the defeated Sternritters Cang Du and BG9, although to what end remains to be seen. Two mysterious lights landed in the Seireitei as well, drawing Mask de Masculine's attention, but the arrival of Kensei and Rose has kept him from investigating the new arrival.

Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 18 Sees the Return of Fan-Favorites

Bleach: Renji and Rukia arrive in the Seireitei.

The two mysterious lights are, in fact, Renji and Rukia returning from the Soul King's palace, as revealed in previews for the next episode. Fully healed from their time at the palace, the pair should waste no time getting down to business and defending the Soul Society. The fight between Rose and Kensei and Mask de Masculine should also be a major focus of the episode, as the two Visored square off against the wrestling-themed Quincy. Uryu was also featured in the previews, suggesting fans will find out what exactly he plans to do with the fallen Quincy warriors.

Any help is good help for the Soul Reapers at this point, but things are looking dire enough that Renji and Rukia won't be able to tip the scales on their own. With Ichigo having apparently finished his trial in episode 17, it's possible that Ichigo will be on the scene soon enough as well, which might actually start tilting things in the Soul Society's favor for once. At least fans won't have to wait too long to find out what happens, so long as they tune in to Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War on Saturday.
