What Happened In Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead Episode #4?

Akira and Kencho's flight attendant fantasy

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead episode #4, “Flight Attendant of the Dead”, was kicked off by Akira and Kencho wanting a big-screen TV for their rooftop campsite. They ended up trapped in a shopping mall with another group of survivors, three of whom were female flight attendants, so Akira and Kencho decided to take advantage of the situation to cross “Wine and dine a flight attendant” off the bucket list. Akira struck out in romance, but he did form a rapport with one of the flight attendants, Yukari, as Akira empathized with how much grief her job put her through, despite it being her dream job.

Trouble arose, however, when one of the survivors was revealed to have been concealing a zombie bite. Once he was fully zombified, he infected the other survivors, including Yukari, forcing Akira and Kencho to leave in a rush. While Kencho was largely unaffected by what happened, Akira was clearly hurt by what happened with Yukari, but rather than wallow in depression, Akira decided to take their conversation to heart and added remembering his childhood dream to the bucket list.

Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead Will Soon Reveal Akira’s Dream

Akira in episode 4

While Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead episode #5 has yet to be released, it might have already revealed what Akira’s dream is. Episode #5 is titled “Hero of the Dead”, and with how episode #4 ended, Akira’s childhood dream will likely be revealed to have been to become a hero. Considering how that’s the exact kind of thing a child would want to be, it would make sense for Akira to have had that sort of dream, and it would line up perfectly with Akira’s eccentric personality.

If Akira’s dream truly was to become a hero, then that could play off of an earlier joke in the series. In episode #3, Kencho said that Akira could be the one who saves the world from the zombie apocalypse, and while they both brushed it off as a joke, if Akira does want to be a hero, then that could be the start of him eventually being the one to save the world. It would be great if Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead was planting the seeds of its plot so early, but for now, it’s still unknown how the story will play out in full from episode #5 and beyond.

Look out for episode #5 of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead when it releases on August 13.
